When Walter and Nancy Katin started a small workshop making canvas boat covers in Surfside, California, it became one of the original surf brands when the local surfers wanted tough trunks made from the same heavy-duty canvas used for their boat covers. That simple idea helped shape the future of surf clothing.

Today, Katin continues to celebrate its rich heritage by designing thoughtfully-crafted apparel that combines quality craftsmanship, durability and effortless style. Katin roots are still deep in surf culture, but their collections are built for all adventures – from coastal mornings and mountain escapes to the everyday.
